Noida: The Gautam Budh Nagar chief medical officer, R K Garg, said on Saturday he would issue a warning to the private hospital which conducted the ultrasound of Sangeeta Devi, who was handed a single baby on June 20 despite three ultrasound reports - including the private hospital's - showing that she was pregnant with twins.
According to the district hospital authorities, the move comes after they came across a case in which a woman delivered twins despite an ultrasound report from SJM Hospital saying that she was pregnant with a single child.

District hospital chief medical superintendent N M Mathur said Dr Ajay Rana had come across the case of Kalpana, a resident of Chijarsi village, who delivered twins on July 9 but an ultrasound report from SJM Hospital in January had shown a single baby. "We informed the CMO of the anomaly," Mathur said. CMO Garg told TOI, "There seems to be a problem with the ultrasound machine in that hospital. We will issue a warning to them." Dr Pushpa Kaul of SJM Hospital termed the allegations "baseless".
