Noida's new DM and SSP promise safety of women

NOIDA: The new Gautam Budh Nagar SSP, Preetinder Singh, has joined at a time when crimes against women are showing a rising trend. Going with the flow, he listed his priorities in fighting crime against women and children as well as decreasing response time to SOS calls.
Even the newly-appointed district magistrate, Kumar Ravikant Singh, seemed on the same page as the SSP and said that development of the district and maintaining law and order would be addressed urgently.

The SSP had conducted an initial study of the type of crimes that take place in the district and has decided to concentrate on issues involving land acquisition and agitation besides petty crime. Like the earlier SSPs, even Singh promised bridging the police-people gap.
"No laxity of officials will be tolerated. Laid-back and negligent officials unable to sort out issues of people will be dealt with strictly. Action would be taken on public complaints in a time-bound manner," said the new DM.
