Noida to set up diamond-shaped fountain at Parthala Chowk below Signature Bridge

Noida: The Noida Authority plans to set up decorative and facade lighting at Advant Underpass in Sector 168. Earlier, the underpass had got a fresh coat of blue and white paint.

As part of a city beautification project, similar decorative lighting will be set up on poles on major roads and at the underpasses in sectors 18 and 33.

Also, a diamond-shaped fountain, cut out of 18mm thick glass, will be installed at Parthala Chowk below Signature Bridge.

The Authority is undertaking the lighting and other beautification works across the city to enhance the living experience of people and also project an improved image of the city to guests when it hosts national and international events, said officials.

The project will also involve installing low-height street lights on poles on the main road in Sector 100 and dark spots in the city, including blocks A, B, C and D in Sector 47.

“We are trying to replace the normal lights across the city with designer and theme-based lights to give the city a beautiful look. Wherever possible, the Authority will install pole lights and facade lighting to add aesthetic value to the evenings in the city,” said Noida additional CEO Sanjay Khatri.

Officials said there are plans for beautification work in green areas, as well.
