Noida: The Noida Police on Friday registered an FIR against nine officials of FIITJEE’s Sector 62 Noida centre, following allegations of criminal conspiracy and breach of trust by nearly 200 parents.
The accused include FIITJEE’s directors DK Goel, Monila Goel, Partha Halder, Sadhu Ram Bansal, Rustam Dinshaw Batliwala, Shahsikant Dubey, Mohit Sardana, Anand Raman P, and the Sector 62 centre in-charge, Ramesh Batlish.
“The parents on Thursday alleged that the classes were shut abruptly, following which they submitted a written complaint at Sector 58 police station. Following this, an FIR was registered under sections 316 (2) (criminal breach of trust) and 61 (2) (criminal conspiracy) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against nine officials of FIITJEE," said Rambadan Singh, DCP, Noida.
The complaint, filed by Greater Noida West resident Satsang Kumar on behalf of a parents' association, alleges that the coaching institute closed its Sector 62 centre abruptly without notifying the parents, despite collecting significant fees.
The complainant stated, “After collecting money from parents and promising a bright future for their children, the accused conspired to siphon off funds for personal gain. They closed the centre without issuing any notice, leaving the students’ careers in jeopardy.”
Kumar told TOI that the classes were last held on Tuesday.
“On Tuesday evening, the last test got cancelled and on Wednesday all classes started getting cancelled. By evening when parents went to the centre in Sector 62, there was no one at the centre, only two security guards. Later on Thursday parents went to the police station and then finally on Friday FIR was registered,” said Kumar, who has paid Rs 6 lakh fees for his ward who is in class 11.
Amit Banka, a parent from Indirapuram whose son is in Class 12, expressed frustration. “My son’s JEE Mains exam is on February 24, and now he is forced to prepare from home. The FIITJEE fiasco has disrupted his crucial academic year,” he said.
Alok Yadav, whose son studies in Class 10, claimed to have paid Rs 4 lakh in fees. “We demand an immediate refund. We fear the chairman of FIITJEE may flee the country after defrauding us. Authorities must ensure he is arrested promptly,” Yadav stated.
A senior official from Sector 58 police station confirmed that 200 parents signed the FIR. “No arrests have been made yet. The investigation is underway,” the official said.
Dharmveer Singh, district inspector of schools, informed that the centre is registered under the UP Coaching Regulations Act. “We are coordinating with police to ensure appropriate action,” he added. Parents, meanwhile, gathered at the centre on Saturday to demand a refund of their money from the FIITJEE management. However, the centre was locked from inside.
Meanwhile, when reached out, officials of FIITJEE refused to comment on the matter.

FIITJEE has not closed any centre as part of its own decision. Overnight desertion of the centre by the Centre Managing Partner along with the entire team suddenly overnight is the only reason for this force majeure type of condition. The present turmoil in the institution is temporary. Company officials are working to resume operations at all places within a reasonable time.
So far as criminal cases lodged against FIITJEE are concerned, our legal team is taking appropriate action against the malicious prosecutions lodged against us.
This entire story is part of a criminal conspiracy which has been hatched by people with vested interests and very soon through detailed investigation, the truth will emerge. TRUTH cannot be concealed forever. "
