NOIDA: A Noida court on Friday granted bail to Pakistan citizen Seema Haider (27), who entered India illegally this May, and her Indian boyfriend Sachin Meena (22). Their lawyer Hemant Krishna Parashar argued before judicial magistrate Nazim Akbar that she "came to India for love" and there was "no ill intention" as the couple just wanted to stay together."We moved a bail application and argued that the woman had not committed any crime. She has four children below the age of 6 and they have no one except their mother," Parashar told TOI.Parashar added that he sought bail from the court on the grounds that Haider "entered India for love, and there is a saying that 'love is blind'." "There is no evidence against her for spying," he said. According to the investigation, Haider and her four children had left Karachi in the second week of May and flown to Kathmandu via Dubai. The five of them slipped into India illegally in a bus from Pokhara in Nepal.Police got to know about her presence in the city from a lawyer, who Sachin and Haider had approached for help to get married last week. They were arrested on July 4 while they were on their way to Ballabhgarh.Parashar told the court that Haider and Meena got married at a temple in Kathmandu when they met there this March. He argued that since Haider was booked under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act, which stipulates maximum punishment of five years, her bail application should be accepted considering the circumstances. The judge accepted the arguments and granted bail to both of them on a bond of Rs 30,000 each.
