Hospital fined Rs 50k over waste disposal
Greater Noida: The
Instructions were further given to deposit the amount to the authority within 10 working days along with a warning that if the hospital management was found repeating the act, strict action will be taken as per the terms of the lease deed.

(GNIDA) on Sunday imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on Hope Hospital in SectorDelta 2
for disposing non-segregatedbiomedical waste
of the hospital and leaving it untended in the hospital premises.“Under
Solid Waste Management
(SWM) Rule 2016 applicable in Greater Noida, all hospitals are required to segregate the bio-medical waste and arrange for its disposal to the dumping point. Bio-medical waste cannot be mixed with solid waste and left untended,” said Salil Yadav, deputy general manager in charge of public health department, GNIDA.Popular from City
