NOIDA: After initiating a grievance redressal mechanism for residents of urban villages and apartment complexes,

Noida Authority

on Thursday announced that it will start a

helpdesk

to sort out issues of farmers now.

The authority said that a single-window helpdesk will be established in the authority and it will be operational from Friday. Officer on special duty (land) has been made the nodal officer. Each day officials posted in the land division will have to dedicate an hour to listen to the farmers coming to the authority with issues.

The public hearing will be done between 10 am and 11 am daily on all working days. Officials said that the issues will be disposed of within a specified timeframe.

The farmers will submit their complaints to the land department only and support of other departments will be sought if needed. “We often have to run from one section to another with our problems. A single-window to take all our complaints will be beneficial,” said Nitin Yadav, a resident of
