Goods worth Rs 20L robbed from factory

Greater Noida: A gang of robbers allegedly barged into a factory at Badalpur in Greater Noida in the early hours of Saturday and robbed goods and copper wires worth Rs 20 lakh, after taking the security guard hostage.
Cops said the robbery took place around 2 am at a battery manufacturing factory under in Badalpur police station. A case of robbery has been registered against unidentified persons.
Vinay Goel, the complainant, told the police that some criminals barged into his battery manufacturing unit and held a security guard hostage. "They fled the scene with copper wires and other valuables and threatened the security guard with dire consequences if he raised an alarm," he said. The security guard informed his owner about the robbery and Goel registered a case in Badalpur police station.
Manoj Yadav, SHO, said, "The security guard and nearby shopkeepers and locals have been questioned in this case. We have also launched a manhunt to nab the accused."
