Ghaziabad CP among 44 officers to be awarded on Republic day
Ghaziabad: As many as 44 officials of commissionerate GB Nagar and Ghaziabad, including CP Ajay Mishra are to be awarded medals and honours for their commendable work on Republic Day.Ajay Mishra has been honoured with the director general of police (DGP) commendation disc in platinum, an award given to police officers for meritorious service.Three constables of Noida STF, who set an example of valour and courage while on duty, were awarded the Gallantry Medal by the Govt of India. Apart from this, 23 policemen posted in will be awarded the police medal, excellent service honour mark, commendable service honour mark, and DGP's commendation mark.On 26 Oct 2024, in the evening, Noida STF received information that a vicious criminal was going to come to commit a crime on the expressway. Head constables Devdutt Singh, Rajan Kumar, and Ritul Kumar Verma of the STF Noida unit took charge. Firing took place from both sides, in which the vicious criminal Anil alias Amit alias Joothra was arrested in an injured condition. He died during treatment. He had a reward of two lakh rupees in his name and more than 12 cases of murder and robbery.Without caring for their lives, the three jawans of the Noida STF unit confronted the criminals. Everyone appreciated the courage of the three soldiers. In view of this, all three were awarded the gallantry medal by the Govt of India. Also, the DGP, Uttar Pradesh (UP) awarded gold medals to STF's chief constable Rajan Kumar, Vivek Kumar, and Deepak Dhama. Chief constable Sushil Kumar and Manoj Kumar PAC received silver medals. Sub inspector Keshav Shandilya, chief constable Rahul Kumar, Mukesh Singh, and Rohit were awarded the commendable service honour mark on the basis of bravery.Apart from this, 23 policemen of the district have also been awarded various service honour marks by the DGP, UP. 17 policemen will be given the DGP's commendation medal, in which four will be given the gold medal and 13 will be given the silver medal. Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh will honour all of them on the occasion of Republic Day. In Ghaziabad, 10 officials are getting the president's medal for gallantry: ACP Swatantra Kr Singh, CFO Rahul Pal, Inspector Abdur Rehman Siddique, Fire Station Officer Kunwar Singh, Neeraj Kr Pal, Sandeep Kr, Fireman Jogindra Singh, Driver Fire Service Satendra Singh, Firemen Prahlad Singh Rana, and Ayushman Kr Sharma.
