Family of dead lineman lodges complaint, FIR filed

NOIDA: Five days after the deaths of two linemen, Saddam Hussein and Mohd Hasan, Noida Police on Friday said that they have lodged an FIR under Sector 304A of IPC (causing death by negligence) against unknown persons. The FIR has been lodged following a complaint by one of the deceased's relatives, Iliyas, demanding a detailed probe into the case.
"The complainant has cited that both Saddam Hussain and Mohd Hasan worked for Gul Mohammad, a contractor of NKG Infrastructure.During shifting of overhead lines, they got electrocuted. Their deaths happened due to negligence," said Gautam Budh Nagar ASP Vijay Kumar Dhull. "We have lodged an FIR at Sector 20 police station and will soon record the statement of the complainant. We will also ask NKG Infrastructure and power discom UPPCL to join the investigation," he added.
