Dog sterilisation drive kicks off in Greater Noida

The mission has been called ‘Project Bhairav’ and with it, the authority aims to sterilise all the stray dogs in the city. “The residents of Sector Omicron 2 had deposited Rs 2,500 for the sterilization and vaccination of 10 stray dogs. These dogs have been released after sterilisation and vaccination. The sterilised dogs have been given a blue and pink colour strap around their neck, with a marking cut in their ear. This will distinguish them from other dogs that are yet to be sterilised,” said Salil Yadav from the public health department, GNIDA.

had deposited the sum for 64 more stray dogs to be sterilised from their sector, Yadav urged all residents and RWAs to come forward and avail the facility, that comes equipped with an operation room, a waiting area, 24-hour staff to look after the dogs and arrangements for AC, refrigerator and drinking water in the operation room. “Any sector or society whose RWA has to sterilize their dogs, they can deposit Rs 250 per dog and schedule the vaccination of stray dogs in their sector," he said.Top Comment
