Delivery exec, guard fight over register entry in Noida

Greater Noida: A grocery delivery executive from an e-commerce company scuffled with a security guard of a housing society in Noida Extension after the former was told to make an entry into the register for a second time to enter the premises. While cops have received a complaint from the guard and are looking at the CCTV footage of the incident, a clip of the fight has been shared several times on social media.
According to police, the incident took place around 10.30 pm on Sunday when the delivery executive came to deliver groceries to a flat at Exotica Dreamville, near Gaur City 2. “The delivery executive made an entry for delivering the goods but was turned back by the emptor, who called him back a few minutes later for the delivery. When the delivery executive returned to the housing society, he was told to make an entry into the register yet again, which allegedly irked him,” ACP-2 Yogendra Singh told TOI.
The CCTV footage of the incident, obtained by the cops and also accessed by TOI, shows the delivery executive entering the security room and hitting the guard. As the two trade blows, more guards rush into the room and try to break the fight. As the other guards forcibly take the delivery boy outside the room, the first guard grabs a baton and tries to hit the delivery person but is stopped, cops said. “The two later reached a settlement and the law and order situation was maintained. Further investigation into the case is underway,” the ACP said.
