Deadline to apply for 12hr free power is now Sept 30
Noida: The UPPCL has extended the deadline to register for 12-hour free power supply for private tubewell connections to Sept 30. The earlier deadline was Aug 16.This decision follows a directive from UPPCL chairman Dr Ashish Goel on July 30, aimed at ensuring uninterrupted power supply — 24 hours in urban (district-level) areas, 18 hours in rural (village) areas, and 9.5 hours at the tehsil level — along with 12-hour free power supply for farmers with private tubewell connections."To facilitate this and to register new connections under the scheme while improving revenue collection in rural areas, camps are being organised in various villages of GB Nagar district connected to the 33/11 kV substations at Kot, Luharli, and NTPC Road, Dadri," said Praveen Kumar Singh, executive engineer of the Noida power department, Circle 4, PVVNL.Harish Bansal, PVVNL's chief zonal engineer of the Noida power department, said that only consumers without outstanding bills to the discom can apply for the scheme.
