Bank executive killed as car hits bike, accused held
NOIDA: A 22-year-old bank executive was crushed to death when a speeding car hit his bike near Amity University roundabout in Sector 125 Noida. The victim Gaurav Kumar worked with Kotak Mahindra and was going to collect cheques from some corporate houses. Kumar received fractures in his head and was critically injured. He was rushed to District Hospital Noida Sector 30 where doctors declared him brought dead.
A team of police officials reached at the spot and arrested the accused Akarsh Sharma (20), a student of LLB in Amity University.

The police have seized his Maruti Celerio car which was involved in the crash. Akarsh's father Siddhartha Sharma is a judge in Karkardooma district and sessions court in Delhi.
Amarnath Yadav, SHO Sector 39 police station, said that the accident took place at around 9:15 am. "Gaurav was driving a Hero Passion Pro bike. He was not wearing helmet. Akarsh was driving his Celerio towards the University. They collided against each other at a roundabout near the University," he said.
Police said that since Gaurav was not wearing a helmet, he received critical injuries on his head and bled profoundly. The victim immediately lost conscious and fell on the ground. A team of police officials reached at the spot and rushed the victim to District Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
A case of causing death due to negligence under Section 304 (A) of IPC has been registered against the accused. "We have arrested the accused for the accident which led to the death. The accused will be produced in court and sent to jail," said Yadav.
