Airline executive found dead in parked car at society basement

Noida: An executive with a leading airline was found dead inside his car parked in the basement of La Residentia, a condominium in Greater Noida West, on Friday morning.Nishant Kumar (32), an assistant manager at the airline, lived with his father in tower T of the housing society and was last seen on Thursday evening when he left for office in Gurgaon. He didn’t, however, report for work. Police said they had found a note, purportedly written by Nishant, which says he was fed up with his life. Pills and a bottle of mosquito repellent spray were also found in the car.ACP-2 (central Noida) Ramesh Pandey said the Bisrakh police station received information about the body through the 112 helpline around 10 am on Friday. “A team was sent to the spot. It found the man lying unconscious inside a car in the basement of a society. After residents identified him, Nishant’s father was called and he opened the car using a duplicate key,” the ACP said.Pandey said the car was not parked at the spot allotted to the family. “Some tablets, a bottle of mosquito repellent and the note were found in the car. In the note, he did not blame anyone for the suicide,” the officer said. Police suspect that Nishant may have consumed more than 20-30 sleeping pills. The body was sent for autopsy, but the report is awaited, they said.
