NOIDA: The district administration will soon launch voter enrolment drive in a preparation for the Assembly election. Vineet Kumar, ADM Gautam Budh Nagar, said that there are a total of 12,53,318 registered voters in the three assembly constituencies of Gautam Budh Nagar. Noida has 5,11,599 voters, Dadri 4,21,948 and Jewar 3,19,771. “We will publish the updated electoral rolls on September 15.

We will then start voters’ enrollment drive in the district,” he said.
The district administration has started preparations for the upcoming assembly elections. The administration has received 5000 electronic voting machines for the polls. “These machines are being tested. The testing procedure will be over in a week,” said N P Singh, district magistrate. The district administration has also selected three youths as ‘district icons’ for electoral awareness campaign in the upcoming election. Noida based Mountaineer Arjun Vajpai (23), cricketer Parvinder Awana (30) and a special (disabled) student Zeenat Ara (20) will visit different urban and rural areas and urge people to enroll themselves and take part in the electoral processes.
