NEW DELHI: At least one person died in a fire that broke out at the Lotus Grandeur banquet hall in Sector 74, Noida, early on Wednesday, as reported by the police.
While speaking to the media, Noida DCP Ram Badan Singh said, 'At around 3:30 AM, we received information that a fire broke out at the Lotus Grandeur banquet hall in Noida Sector 74. A total of 15 fire tenders arrived at the scene, and the fire has been brought under control. Unfortunately, one electrician, Parminder, lost his life in the fire...'"
The banquet hall was undergoing renovation at the time of the incident.
