Vashi teen enters Best of India Records for swimming

Vashi boy DhruvMohite(19), a second year B.Com student of Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College, recently entered the Best of India Records as the fastest swimmer to swim across the Dharamtar Jetty-Rewas Port Channel, covering 18km in three hours, 56 minutes and 24 seconds.

NAVI MUMBAI: Vashi boy DhruvMohite(19), a second year B.Com student of Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College, recently entered the Best of India Records as the fastest swimmer to swim across the Dharamtar Jetty-Rewas Port Channel, covering 18km in three hours, 56 minutes and 24 seconds.
Mohite had attempted the record on January 15, 2020 which was recognised by the Best of India Records authorities while recognising it as a national record.

He now aims to swim the seven seas, and the 36 km-long Dharamtar to Gateway of India, is on his priority list. The attempt was earlier certified by Maharashtra State Amateur Aquatic Association. “This was my first record being featured in the Best of India Records. It has given me impetus to achieve more,” said Mohite. —
