division after they were caught red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs 10,000 from an electrical contractor.

Bharat Thakur, an assistant technician of MSEDCL’s in Jaskar village, Uran taluka and his assistant, Ravi Rathod, a lineman hired on contract basis were held on Tuesday.

Deputy SP Ramesh Chavan, ACB, said, “After verification of the complaint lodged on February 23, it was confirmed that Thakur, accompanied by assistant Rathod, had initially demanded a bribe of Rs 1,000 for each of the 100 meter connections in three buildings.”
