NAVI MUMBAI: A thief followed a
Kopar Khairane
resident,
Mohammad Shakil (33), from an
ATM
in Kopar Khairane to the railway station, followed him into a train and snatched his mobile and wallet containing his ATM card before jumping off the moving train. He used up Rs 70,000 from his ATM card.
An FIR was filed on July 1 although the incident took place on June 1. The delay was due to jurisdiction issues.
When Shakil went to the bank to block his ATM card, he was told that Rs 40,000 had been transferred to another account and Rs 30,000 used for shopping. Shakil said the man had stood behind him in the ATM kiosk and his behaviour was "suspicious".
