Swastika Ghosh wins bronze at int’l TT tournament in Hong Kong

Navi Mumbai: Close on the heels of winning a gold and bronze medal at the ITTF World Circuit Cadet and Junior Table Tennis Championship held at Amman in Jordan, 15-year-old Swastika Ghosh won a bronze medal at the 2018 Hang Seng Hong Kong Junior and Cadet Open Table Tennis Tournament which was held recently. Ghosh, a student of Ramseth Thakur Public school in Kharghar, won the medal in the junior girl’s doubles event.
She shared the medal with her Singaporean doubles partner Zingyi Zhou who defeated their Taipei rivals Pei-Ling Su and Yu Chin Tsai by scoring 3-1.Ghosh is India’s junior number one and internationally ranked 70. “Winning back-to-back medal means a lot for me,” said Ghosh.
