NAVI MUMBAI: The civic commissioner said the administration will soon be starting with the one-window system to get an NOC for redevelopment. He made the announcement while addressing a seminar organized by NMMC to clear doubts and concerns about redevelopment.
The announcement has come across as a major reprieve for Cidco-built buildings waiting to go ahead with redevelopment. “The one-window system essentially means that societies intending to opt for redevelopment are required to make an application, after which NMMC will procure the NOCs,” said corporator Kishor Patkar.
He added that it is a great move by the commissioner as it was impossible for an individual or society to run around acquiring the number of NOCs required.
To go for redevelopment, one has to acquire nine NOCs, including ones from Cidco and civic departments like property, fire, structural certificate, environment, CRZ high-rise and also the commencement certificate.
They also have to be declared dangerous under the BPMC Act.
The details pertaining to FSI and technicalities about the redevelopment have been made available on the civic website as well.
