NAVI MUMBAI: Property tax defaulters in Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) area are being offered with yet another opportunity to clear the dues till September 30. PMC has allowed the taxpayers to pay outstanding amounts with a rebate of 50% on the penalty for delayed payment. This would mean, those who failed to clear the dues before July 31 with 75% discount on penalty for delayed payment under extended amnesty scheme, can now pay the dues with 50% rebate on penalty with the principal tax amount.
“Considering the volume of outstanding tax, we have extended the citizen-friendly scheme while offering 50% rebate on the penalty amount till September end. We hope the residents should take the benefit of the rebate and pay before the new deadline,” said PMC commissioner Ganesh Deshmukh.
Meanwhile, the civic body has launched the PMC TAX app for online payment of property tax.
It has requested the citizens to visit panvelcorporation.com or panvelmc.org to pay property tax online.
