NAVI MUMBAI: The monitoring committee of Taloja common effluent treatment plant (CETP), appointed by National Green Tribunal (NGT) and headed by former Bombay HC judge V M Kanade, suggested at the eighth review meeting recently that Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) and Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (

MIDC

) expedite preparations for an environmental restoration plan with detailed methodologies following damage to the eco-system and marine life due to toxic discharge from CETP into Kasadi river and Thane creek at the Kharghar-end.
