NAVI MUMBAI: The

Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation

(NMMC) vaccination centres will administer only the second dose of Covaxin and Covishield on Wednesday. The centres will operate between 9 am and 5 pm.

The 18-44 age group and people aged 45 years and above are eligible to get the Covaxin second dose at

General Hospitals

in

Vashi

,

Nerul

and Airoli. The healthcare workers and frontline workers can also take their second jab. The three centres within the civic body limits in the region have been allotted 200 doses each.

With 500 doses, the Covishield second dose will be administered to those in the 18-44 age group at

General Hospital

in Nerul.

Beneficiaries who have taken the first Covishield dose upto May 5 are eligible for Covishield second dose and those who have taken the first Covaxin dose upto June 30 are eligible for Covaxin second dose, the civic body informed.

No other vaccination drive will be held today.

Also, people with disabilities and those above 70 years of age will be given a token on priority and they do not need to wait in the queue.

The residents of Navi Mumbai will be given vaccine shots on priority at these centres, said the civic body.

Meanwhile, Navi Mumbai on Tuesday reported 81 new positive cases and two deaths.

There will be no Covid-19 vaccination in Kalyan-Dombivli on Wednesday due to a shortage of doses.
