NAVI MUMBAI: A city based social activist,
Sundeep Sharma, has come out with a creative online awareness poster to ensure that people do not miss out their chance to go out and vote on the polling day.
"Past voting records show that electoral turnout in the Mumbai metropolitan region is just about 50-55%. That is why I thought of designing this funny poster with a serious message to make the citizens get their fingers inked.
The poster shows a donkey, with the caption `I Don't Vote', which is a sarcastic commentary," said Sharma.
The pro-voting poster will soon be seen on various social networking sites like
Facebook, Twitter,
Instagram, besides WhatsApp and other such platforms.
"Governments are made not just by those who vote, but also because of those who do not vote. Hence, for a healthy democracy, it is utmost essential for all citizens to vote for candidates of their choice. Otherwise, compare yourself to a donkey, who does not vote," he added.
