Navi Mumbai: Dummy candidate held in para-military exam

Nhava Sheva police have arrested a 22-year-old man, hailing from Aurangabad, for hiring a dummy candidate to appear, on his behalf, for the written test for recruitment as constable for para-military forces. The test was conducted at JNPT grounds on May 21.

NAVI MUMBAI: Nhava Sheva police have arrested a 22-year-old man, hailing from Aurangabad, for hiring a dummy candidate to appear on his behalf for the written test for recruitment as constable for para-military forces. The test was conducted at JNPT grounds on May 21.
Investigating officer API Sanjay Mohite said, “The accused, Balu Kolhe, has admitted that he paid part payment of Rs 1.5 lakh to his dummy candidate Vikas Makh (25), whom he had offered Rs 5 lakh.

Kolhe was caught after he himself appeared for the physical test, when his biometrics did not match with the dummy candidate, who had appeared for him for the written test."
He added, "The accused Kolhe has been remanded to jail custody at Taloja prison. The dummy candidate Makh is being searched."
