NAVI MUMBAI: Panvel City police on Saturday arrested a 30-year-old man from Haryana in connection with the firing at actor Salman Khan’s Bandra residence by alleged Lawrence Bishnoi gang members.

Police senior inspector Nitin Thakare claimed that Deepak Hawasingh Gogalia alias Jhony Valmiki had arranged accommodation for the two shooters in Panvel and the bike used to conduct a recce of Khan’s Galaxy Apartment.

Gogalia, who resides in Panvel and works as a sweeper, is the seventh person to be arrested in connection with the April 14 firing.

Probe showed that Gogalia had communicated with the accused through WhatsApp calls. DCP (zone 2) Vivek Pansare said, “After receiving leads on Gogalia’s whereabouts, we communicated with Bhiwani SP Varun Singhala and Gogalia was arrested from his residence. Panvel City police sub-inspector Vinod Labhade obtained his transit remand from Bhiwani court on Sunday.” Gogalia is being brought to Navi Mumbai by train.
