Man held for sex assault of 15-year-old boy

NAVI MUMBAI: A 25-year-old autorickshaw driver has been arrested by Vashi police for allegedly sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy inside the toilet at Raghuleela mall in Vashi on Sunday. Sanjay Nale, police inspector of Vashi informed that the accused has been identified as Yogiraj Gaikwad, a resident of Rabale. On Sunday around 5.30pm, the victim from Govandi along with his younger sister and brother had come to Raghuleela mall.The accused a who was also at the mall gestured at him, when the boy did not respond and later went home. Around 7.30pm, the boy returned alone to the mall and allegedly met the accused, who took him to the public toilet on the ground floor of the mall where he allegedly sexually abused the victim. The accused has been booked under the Pocso Act. (The victim's identity has not been revealed to protect his privacy as per Supreme Court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
