NAVI MUMBAI: The swanky D Y Patil stadium in Nerul is set to host all of Mumbai’s home matches for the second season of
Indian Super League, which will take off from October 3 in Chennai.
Mumbai City FC, which made Navi Mumbai its home turf, announced that the sale of tickets, for their first match against Chennaiyin FC on October 16, has started from Saturday. Season passes will also be available online.
“I can’t wait to catch in action some of my favourite footballers like Sunil Chhetri and Subroto Paul. I will be there to root for the home team,” said football enthusiast Sudam Koli.
An official from the stadium said that they have converted the arena to a natural football turf in the centre of the circular ground. The second home match is slated on October 21 against Delhi Dynamos FC while the third will be on October 25 against FC Goa.
