Elite volleyball clubs to play in 2-day tourney

NAVI MUMBAI: Nerul Gymkhana, under the aegis of Thane District Volleyball Association, is hosting a two-day volleyball tournament which will have premier teams participating.
As many as eight teams have been given including Mumbai Police, RCF, Central Excise, Mumbai Port Trust, Seven Colours, RCF, A R Club, Century Rayon and Navi Mumbai Amateur Volleyball Association have been selected.
The games will start from 4.30pm on March 12 and 13. For the first time, a tournament involving champion teams from across the country is being held in the city. Harsharan Singh, an organizer said, “The tournament is being organized to promote volleyball in the city.”
