Corporator, activist file cross plaints

NAVI MUMBAI: The Nerul police registered two non-cognizable offences on Monday after cross complaints were registered by Nerul resident Chhaya Khemani and Nerul NCP corporator Ravindra Ithape. Both complainants are residents of Bhima Shankar CHS in sector-19, Nerul.

Khemani, who claims to be an RTI activist, has alleged that Ithape had threatened to harm her for complaining to NMMC commissioner Tukaram Mundhe about unclean nullahs in his ward. Ithape, on the other hand, has complained that Khemani had verbally abused him in the presence of civic officials during the NMMC commissioner's visit to Wonder park in Nerul.
