NAVI MUMBAI: Ratnagiri superintendent of police
Dhananjay Kulkarni has suspended a constable over a ‘drink and drive’ case reported on Saturday evening.
The drunk driver had dashed eight vehicles while returning from a bandobast duty in his Ertiga car. Almost all the damaged vehicles belog to tourists.
Constable Ganesh Satpute is an ex-servicemen and had joined the Ratnagiri police about two years ago.
He was posted at the district police headquarters.
The incident was reported at Kumbharbav when the constable was returning to Ratnagiri after completing his duty at Nanij. SP Dhananjay Kulkarni said, “The constable was found to be drunk while driving. He has been suspended and sent to a de-addiction centre.”
