Auto driver who knifed wife, killed sister held

NAVI MUMBAI: An auto driver from Nerul, Nagesh Lad (26), who was on the run after allegedly knifing his wife Jyotsna (23) and stabbing his sister Sunita Singh (29) to death was arrested within 24 hours of the crime.
“Nagesh suspected his wife of having an illicit relationship with his brother-in-law Jarman Singh (35),” said Nerul senior inspector Rajendra Chavan.“On Wednesday, around 5am, Nagesh went to Jyotsna’s maternal house at Kukshet village and attacked her with a knife. He then went to Sunita’s house in Nerul village, fatally stabbed her and fled. We got a tip-off that he was with other auto drivers, so laid a trap at Turbhe naka and caught him on Thursday morning.”
