SIT probing Kharat cases questions Nashik hotelier

Nashik: The Special Investigation Team probing sexual assault and black magic cases against astrologer Ashok Kharat on Tuesday summoned a Nashik-based hotelier for questioning as part of its expanding investigation into Kharat's alleged illegal activities.SIT officials said the hotelier, a former trustee of the Shirdi Sansthan, was called after the team received a formal complaint alleging that Kharat stayed overnight at the hotelier's establishment on multiple occasions. Investigators are examining whether the hotelier had any direct or indirect role in Kharat's criminal activities.Officials said preliminary findings indicate that Kharat and the hotelier were in regular contact.
