Shirpur police recover grocery articles worth Rs 4 lakh stolen from a wholesale store; key accused linked to multiple cases

NASHIK: The Shirpur police of Dhule arrested two burglars and recovered articles worth over Rs 4 lakh they stole from a grocery store in Shirpur. The police said that on the night between May 17 and 18 this year, some unidentified persons broke the lock on the shutter of a wholesale grocery store in Shirpur and stole articles worth over Rs 4 lakh.PI Kishor Pardeshi of the Shirpur city police guided the team of the detection branch to investigate the case. He prepared three teams for the detection of the case. During the course of the investigation, the police received information that a person identified as Wahid Hasan Siddique of Malegaon and his partner committed the housebreaking in the concerned shop.The Dhule police subsequently sent a team to Malegaon in search of Wahid, and he was picked up. On questioning him about the theft, he confessed to the police that the housebreaking in the grocery wholesale store was committed by him with his associates Asif Tailor, Imran alias Vandya Qureshi, and Sonu alias Sayyad Hussain, all residents of Malegaon.The police then arrested Wahid Hassan, and during his custodial interrogation, he said that the stolen goods were kept in Pachora, Jalgaon, at the place of a person named Sadashiv Patil. The stolen goods were finally recovered by the police.The police also traced Asif Tailor in Dhule and arrested him. Wahid Hassan has a case of robbery registered against him with the Mohadi police station, Dhule, and Asif Tailor has seven different cases registered against him.
