Rs 44-crore development projects in Nashik to be inaugurated on Tuesday

: Various developmental projects worth Rs 44.5 crore will be inaugurated on Tuesday by finance minister

, minister of state for health Eknath Shinde and minister of state for tourism Jaykumar Rawal.

The projects include Jaspal Singh Virdi cycle track from Sainath Nagar square to Wadala square at Indira Nagar at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore; 100-bed Savitribai Phule women’s hospital at Bhabha Nagar (Rs 25 crore); Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj swimming pool at Akashwani jogging track on Gangapur Road (Rs 5 crore) and international-level playground at Hutatma Anant Kanhere Maidan (golf club ground) at a cost of Rs 12 crore.

During a media briefing on Monday afternoon, MLA Devayani Pharande said the bhoomipujan of these projects will take place from 7pm onwards.

The hospital will have 12 OPDs, ICU, NICU and three operation theatres. It will be a women’s speciality hospital that would benefit the poor women in nearby areas.

The playground will have 7.5-m wide mud jogging track, 3-m wide cycle track, green gym, independent spaces for senior citizens, yoga, football and

cricket

, net for cricket, washrooms, play area for children, parking lot, lawn, garden, tree plantation, modern storm water drainage, underground water tank, lighting facility, clock tower, and other facilities, besides renovation of the existing audience gallery.
