rural police arrested eight men, on Thursday, for gambling near Idgaah
Bazaar, Manmad
. Police officials said that superintendent of Police (Rural) Pravin Padwal had received a tip-off on the gambling activity in a house in Idgaah Bazaar. A police team led by R J Desai raided House no. 327 of Sayyad Hamid Nakir.
Apart from the owner of the house Nakir, the police arrested Dilawar Khan Noor Khan,
Imraan Khan Ahmed Khan, Hasan Shaikh Ibrahim Shaikh, Mahendra Kale, Ganapat Somase, Sham Makune and Kamlesh Chaudhary. The police confiscated cash and gambling articles worth Rs 93,000.
On Tuesday, also the local crime branch had raided two places - Ozar and Lasalgaon in the rural parts of Nashik and busted two gambling dens. Seven people were arrested in these raids and cash and gambling articles worth over Rs 44,000 were seized.
