Observance of Swachhta Pakhawada in Nashik
NASHIK: As per the directives issued by Government of India, ‘Swachhta Pakhawada’ is being observed at HAL (Nashik Division) from December 1 to December 15.
The inaugural function was held on December 1. Daljeet Singh, Chief Executive Officer (COO), MiG Complex was the chief guest of the function. V Seshagiri Rao, general manager of Aircraft Overhaul Division (AOD), A B Gharad, general manager of Aircraft Manufacturing Division (AMD) and RP Khapli, officiating chief designer of Aircraft Upgrade, Research and Design Centre (AURDC) were the guests of honour.

Singh in his keynote address emphasized that it should be our endeavour to ensure that no dirt is created, so that the necessity of cleaning does not arise.
“Also we should make our combined efforts to keep the areas around factory and township premises in clean condition,” he said.
To spread awareness of cleanliness, a short film titled ‘Ek Paaul Swachhatekade’ was screened and a skit titled ‘Swachhta doot - ha tar Arogya Mitra’ was performed by the employees during the inaugural function.
During ‘Swachhta Pakhawada, various events for cleanliness drive like essay/painting/slogan competitions for children on ‘Importance of Cleanliness’ have been planned.
Committee of Management (COM) members, office bearers of Hindustan Aeronautics Employees Union (HAEU) and Hindustan Aeronautics Officers Association (HAOA), large number of employees were present for the inaugural function.
