NASHIK: Global Vision International School organized a musical programme on Radio Vishwas (90.8). The programme included recitation of poems and songs, besides enactment of a play on the theme 'How to celebrate eco-friendly Diwali'. The management, on behalf of the school, appealed to all musical lovers to listen to the show which would be broadcasted on Radio Vishwas (90.8) on October 20 and 22 at 11 am. Teachers who participated in the exercise include Ashwini Kulkarni, Anita Jambotkar, Anushka Botekar and Chandrakala Jadhav. The music was composed by Onkar Vairagkar and the programe was conceptualized by school director Vijayalaxmi Manerikar.Wisdom kids excel in patriotic song competition: The students of Wisdom High International School stood first in an interschool patriotic Hindi group song competition organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad, Nashik on September 21 at the Prasad Mangal Karyalaya. The team also qualified for the state level competition at Satara where they the bagged the second position. The students were mentored by the school's music department.
Wisdom High organises simulation of the UN: Wisdom High International School recently organised a simulation of the United Nations to sensitize the students with the global issues and acquaint them with the functioning of the various organs of the United Nations. A mock session was on organized on the modus operandi of the various committees of the UN where the students acted as delegates of the various countries and discussed the agendas assigned to them. Resolutions were passed amidst moderated as well as unmoderated caucus and voice votes. The senior students of the school formed the secretariat and conducted the proceedings of the committees under the tutelage of the department of social sciences. The best delegates were awarded with trophies and certificates.Seminar on celebrating eco-friendly Diwali: S.M. Education Foundation's Global Vision International School organized a seminar for active mothers' club in which mothers were guided on 'How to celebrate eco-friendly Diwali' by Ashwini Kulkarni. Kulkarni demonstrated activities like making Diwali lanterns using cardboard and colour papers. She also guided them on diya decoration with natural colours made at home. She advised parents not to use china lights or any china decoration items. At the end of this session, the parents took the oath on 'Harit Kumbh', promising to take care of the society and the environment.Rasbihari observes World Post Day: On World Post Day, students of class IV did a role play in the school assembly showcasing the change in the media over the decades. The students acknowledged the role of the postal system in our country. They explained that while it was not easy to operate postal services in India with diverse cultures, traditions and difficult geographical terrains, the Indian postal department continued to serve the nation with admirable enthusiasm, binding people together.DPS students visit fire station: Delhi Public School, Nashik conducted a visit for grade VIII students to the fire brigade station at Shingada Talav. The activity helped students learn about fire fighting, the technology used, different types of fire and methods of extinguishing and safety during an emergency, and accidents and rescue operations performed by the fire department. They also learned about the different fuels that cause fire and ways to extinguish them and categorizing them into A,B,C,D types of fire. They saw various fire vehicles along with the machinery and water capacity in each of them. They interacted with the fire officer about the details of the working and functioning of a regular fire station and its sub-divisional branches in the city.100 days of school for pre-nursery kids: Children of pre-nursery at Delhi Public School, Nashik celebrated their first 100 days in school. The event was held at the open air theatre in the school campus. The performance showcased an hour-long programme, encompassing every step taken by the children in their journey of learning, growing and achieving. The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by chief guest Manisha Khadke, director, Small Steps School, along with floral welcome in the presence of Siddharth Ragarhia, director, Delhi Public School, Nashik and Principal Chitra Joshi.Silver Oak organises career guidance programme: Silver Oak Universal School organized a two-day intense career guidance programme recently with Mumbai's leading career advisor Shadab Siddiqui, an IIM Indore alumnus. The career guidance programme was organized keeping in mind the students of class X, who are at the crossroads of their life. The students were presented with a broad range of career options. They were given detailed information about careers offered in sectors such as media, technical, accounting, humanities, management, biology, design and graphic, service sector and government sector.
