Nashik: The planning department of Nashik district will get an additional Rs 15 crore for carrying out various developmental works in the tribal areas for the financial year 2022-23.
The amount is additional to the Rs 293 crore that has been already sanctioned by the state government for the district under annual tribal sub-plan. A virtual meeting was conducted by state tribal development minister
KC Padvi
that was attended by district guardian minister
Chhagan Bhujbal along with the government officials, including district collector
Suraj Mandhare
.
“The funds would be used for improvising health facilities, especially maternity wards in the rural areas, procurement of goods and instruments for hospitals, along with taking measures to provide power to the areas and hamlets that still does not have electricty,” Mandhare said during the meeting.
District planning officer
Kiran Joshi said the government agencies had demanded additional funds of Rs 37.5 crore, but the tribal minister has approved Rs 15 crore.
