NASHIK: Dada Bhuse, the biggest Shiv
Sena name from north Maharashtra and Malegaon Outer constituency
MLA, is also likely to join the Eknath Shinde camp. On Thursday evening, he reached Guwahati in Assam.
A Jalgaon-based dissident Sena MLA, who was camping at Guwahati, confirmed to TOI on Thursday that Dada Bhuse is expected to join the rebels.
“He is a heavyweight in Sena, and him throwing his weight behind Shinde is of huge significance,” said the rebel MLA from Jalgaon.
Although Dada Bhuse could not be contacted despite several attempts, his close aides confirmed that the state agriculture minister is “extremely close” to Shinde.
“Dada Bhuse is, no doubt, a die-hard Thackeray loyalist. But at the same time, he shares a strong bond with Shinde. Initially, he was in a fix. However, now that the majority of the Sena legislators are joining the Shinde camp, he is likely to join hands with Shinde too,” said a close confidant of Bhuse.
Dada Bhuse’s joining the Shinde camp would be a huge blow to Thackeray in north Maharashtra as the other five MLAs have already sided with Shinde. Dada Bhuse was the lone Sena MLA who had not joined the rebel Sena leader yet.
Meanwhile, the Sena dissidents camping in Guwahati said their return to Maharashtra would depend on the situation that is still evolving. They claimed the strength of the Shinde camp has increased to over 40 MLAs. “Our senior leaders are strategising the future course of action, depending on which we will decide when to return to Mumbai,” said a rebel Sena leader.
