Nashik: Despite the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) officials of Nashik division appealing to the employees to take up their duties, the MSRTC employees who have been on strike from day-1 have decided to carry on till they get justice.According to the MSRTC officials, so far, 548 people have been dismissed and 468 have been suspended from their duties.“The administration has asked us to rejoin our duties. But we are determined to take up duties only as state government employees. This is what we have been fighting for since November,” said Ramesh Patil, an MSRTC employee.Keshav Kamble, another MSRTC employee, said that this is a do-or-die situation for employees that would perish if they now relented their position.“We have fought unitedly for our demands. Some have left us and joined their duties due to compulsions. They are not our enemies. But all those who are on strike will continue to be in the position despite all odds and any warnings that may be issued by the administration,” Kamble said. The number of buses hitting the roads has now crossed the 300-mark, benefitting around 50,000 people daily.
