Nashik: The forest department rescued a six-year-old male leopard from the Gangawadi village near Eklahare, 15 km from Nashik city, on Wednesday morning.
This is the second leopard rescue in the past six days from the same area. Last week, a five-year-old male leopard had to be rescued.
The forest department had set up a cage to trap the leopard. Forest officials said they are conducting a medical check-up of the big cat.
Once the official procedure is done, the leopard will be released into his natural habitat.
