NASHIK: Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir’s MSG College, Malegaon organized an Interdisciplinary International Conference on emerging trends in research and development recently. PV Rasal (dean, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune) was the chief guest for the inauguration ceremony. M S Pagare, director, Languages Studies and Research Center, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon delivered a key note address.
General secretary of the institution Prashant Hiray was present for the inaugural ceremony.

HV Gokhale, CS Kadam and ST Sangale addressed the interdisciplinary conference as resource persons.
A book titled Clash of Two Cultures in; Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart, No Longer at Ease, Arrow of God by Veena Nare was published in the inaugural ceremony.
“More than 340 papers in four disciplines like languages, social sciences, commerce and science were presented in four different auditoriums. This is a kind of record achieved in a rural area,” said the management of the institution.
The best paper presentations in every discipline were awarded. Pranav Koche (Lasalgaon College) was awarded for languages, Jaymala Sode in social sciences (SPH Mahila College, Malegaon), B L Shinde in science (Arts, Commerce and Science College, Sonai, Ahmednagar), D V Thakor in Commerce (MSG College, Malegaon), Nita Bodke in Commerce (Nashik) received the best presentation awards.
Dilip Chavhan, Nanded University addressed the valedictory session. He expressed deep concern with quality of higher education and explored new possibilities and point of views in research.
“Such conferences would definitely help to elevate the quality of research and higher education,” he said.
