Four held for trying to set youth ablaze

Nashik: The Nashik rural police have arrested four members of a family for trying to set ablaze a youth on Friday, said Nashik rural superintendent of police Sachin Patil. Among the four arrested is a young woman, who was supposed to get married with the youth named

of Deola taluka on Friday. “There was some problem related to the marriage of the victim with the woman. The woman, along with three other members of her family, beat up the victim and then poured petrol to set him ablaze,” said

.The villagers managed to douse the fire and took him to a local government hospital, from where, he was shifted to Nashik civil hospital for treatment.“The victim’s condition is critical. We will be producing those arrested in the court on Saturday,” added police officials. TNN
