Bhuse inaugurates 100-bed hospital in Malegaon

Nashik: District guardian minister Dada Bhuse on Tuesday inaugurated a 100-bed women and children hospital at the camp areas of Malegaon city. The project is being implemented by the state health department.Bhuse said, "The hospital will be equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment. It will further boost the health sector in the textile town."In March 2021, state govt had approved to construct hospitals in each of the 12 districts in the state, including one at Malegaon in Nashik district. Pregnant women and children up to 12 years will be given free medication. "Patients in the hospital will be provided food free of cost by the hospital," said Bhuse.Bhuse further said that state govt, through the hospital, will organise a health camp every month for women. Women found suffering from certain diseases will be treated by state govt through its various schemes.Bhuse said, "The earlier capacity for this hospital was 40 beds, which was later increased to 100 beds due to the support of the chief minister Eknath Shinde and the state health minister Tanaji Chavan."The vice-chancellor of the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) Madhuri Kanitkar, Malegaon municipal commissioner Ravindra Jadhav, and district civil surgeon Charudatta Shinde were present at the new hospital inaugural programme.The hospital will provide emergency medical services 24x7 and will house a modular operation theatre, modular labour room, and provide facilities like X-ray and sonography facilities, testing lab, blood bank, free medication, and more facilities.MUHS vice-chancellor Madhuri Kanitkar, during her address, appealed to women to take care of themselves and do a health check-up every year.Kanitkar also promised that she will send trainee medical students from PG Medical College for internships in this women and child hospital of Malegaon.
