Amar, Akbar and Anthony govt will break down soon: Danve
Nashik: Union Ministry of State Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, MP Raosaheb Danve has taken a dig at the state government by referring them as “Amar, Akbar and Anthony” and “will break down at any moment”.
He further challenged the government to bring in more efficient and vibrant schemes for the welfare of the public instead of the closing down the earlier ones intended to help the people in the long run. “The current state government in Maharashtra is not a stable government. Amar, Akbar and Anthony have joined hands to form the government and they lack consensus on issues. I am confident this government will ‘break’ down any moment,” Danve said.
The former BJP state president said that the government had applied brakes on various projects by his BJP-led state government during the last five years. “Applying brakes on the public-oriented schemes by the earlier government is not a good idea as they will bear fruits after some time. The state government should in fact bring out bigger and better schemes to match the work done by the earlier government,” Danve said.
Meanwhile in Jalna, Arjun Khotkar from Shiv Sena, the competitor of Raosaheb Danve, during a public rally said that it was a mistake that he did not contest the Lok Sabha elections (in May 2019). As Shiv Sena and BJP were allies while contesting the parliamentary elections and Khotkar had to withdraw to allow Danve to contest elections.
When Danve was asked for his reaction on the same, he said, “Khotkar has not leveled any allegations against me. Whatever he said there has reference to the audience only.”
Danve said that the government wanted to the diver the attention of the masses from its failure on multiple fronts. Irrelevant issues like raising the height of the statue of Dr B.R Ambedkar, Shiv Sena leaders asking the family descendants to prove the same etc are the claims behind it.
“Such kinds of issues are raised only when the government does not want the people to focus on the important issues of the governance. The current government is unable to perform because their ideologies do not match,” he said.
