2 held on charge of attempt to murder

Nashik: The Mhasrul police arrested two people on Friday in connection to a case of attempt to murder.
The two accused are identified as Rikesh Solanki (24) and Rohit Gangurde (23) of the city. The police said the two accused were arrested on a complaint registered against them by Rajesh Pawar of the Mhasrul area.
On the complaint, the police registered an FIR against the two accused for offences punishable under sections 307 (attempt to murder), 504 (intentional insult), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.
Pawar stated in his complaint that his brother Manoj was speaking with the two accused on Thursday evening in Mharul over their previous feud when the accused started abusing him and threatening him with dire consequences.
Subsequently, one among them took out a firearm-like weapon from his jacket and struck it on Manoj Pawar’s head.
Pawar suffered serious injuries in the incident, after which he was rushed to a private hospital.
