Women dacoits decamp with valuables worth Rs20 lakh

Nagpur: A gang of women dacoits decamped with valuables worth Rs20 lakh from a residence at Swalambi Nagar earlier this week. The house was locked as the family members had gone to Chandrapur to meet some relatives.
Raj Anand, an agricultural engineer, approached Rana Pratap Nagar police station to lodge a complaint after he returned from Chandrapur on November 1. On the earlier day, a gang five women had managed to sneak into the residence of the Anand family after breaking the front door lock and latch. The women were spotted by neighbours, who had immediately alerted the Anands, who had rushed back to the city and then approached Rana Pratap Nagar police station.
Apart from the police station, cops from crime branch too have joined the probe. The cops are now trying to zero in on some suspects in the Ajni area.
